Beyond the Hundred

What did not make the list, and why. A hundred is a round number and an honest one: I could have padded the guide to a hundred and fifty with things that have a mechanism and no evidence, and I chose not to. This section holds the rest of the conversation, and I mean conversation: several of the things here are ones I am actively exploring, and a few are companies I would like to build a relationship with. Thirteen honorable mentions worth knowing about, including the two I am watching most closely, indigo naturalis and a high-potency multi-strain probiotic with real trials, and exactly why each stays here for now. A note on enemas and the Briggs Protocol, the one approach in these pages that comes from a first-principles reading of the disease rather than a bottle. The cannabis page, because it is the most-asked-about item in the IBD community and deserves more than a paragraph, and now has a drawing of the system it acts on. And the table of things people ask about constantly that I considered and excluded, with the reason in each case. A large collection narrowed to a curated few is how you know the hundred were chosen carefully; this is where the narrowing shows.
